Keston Church of England Primary School

PTA

The Keston C of E Primary School Parent Teacher Association has a very active role working with the school, parents, carers and the community to ensure we achieve the best for our children’s development.

Everyone who joins the school is automatically a member of the PTA. We encourage all parents, carers and extended family to get involved as much as they can. We understand that other commitments limit participation at times but any contribution big or small is greatly appreciated.

For example, you can help raise money for the school every time you shop online by visiting http://easyfundraising.org.uk/. They convert commissions you generate into donations for Keston PTA.

Each class has a class rep. The role of the class rep is to keep parents and carers informed of any events the PTA are organising and to encourage people to take part. Class reps also organise collections for teachers and TA’s at Christmas and at the end of the school year, and the Christmas night out. It is really helpful if the class reps attend the PTA meetings once a month.

Our regular events include the Summer and Christmas Fair, discos, film nights, panto and cake sales.

The PTA sends out a Newsletter each term, updating on what we’ve raised, what we’ve purchased for the school and giving details of forthcoming events. Example: https://www.smore.com/jsu6h

The PTA meet regularly throughout the year to plan events. If you would like to be involved, please drop us an email (PTAKestonCofE@outlook.com) or message on our facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/Kestonprimary/).

Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held in the school hall once a year. Everyone is invited to attend. This meeting reviews the finances of the PTA over the year and discusses ideas for the next year.

Gift Aid

At Keston CE Primary School we are committed to creating the best learning environment possible for our children. Central Government provides funds for the basics such as staffing costs, buildings maintenance and essential resources, but without additional financial support, we are unable to provide the wide range of enhancements and opportunities for the children that we constantly aspire to do.

By supporting the school and the PTA and giving a regular, annual donation or one-off donation you will be making a real difference.

To maximise the value of any donations UK taxpayers can Gift Aid their donations meaning that every pound you donate will be worth an extra 25 pence. Please tick the box when prompted on the Just Giving Platform.

Donations can be made by visiting the PTA’s Just Giving platform. The amount you donate is entirely your decision. Please follow the link below:

We really are extremely grateful for the existing support we receive from our parents and carers and do hope you will consider helping the school in this way.
